Base
- Make a magic loop, chain one to secure it.
- Row 1:
- CH 2 (counts as first DC always). DC 7 in magic loop. Tighten magic loop. SS into second chain of initial CH 2. Don’t turn your work (You should have 8 total stitches).
- Row 2:
- CH 2. DC 1 into first stitch. DC 2 into every other stitch. SS into second chain of initial CH 2. Don’t turn your work (You should have 16 total stitches).
- Row 3:
- CH 2. DC 1 into first stitch. DC 2 into every other stitch. SS into second chain of initial CH 2. Don’t turn your work (You should have 32 total stitches).
- Make sure the base is big enough to cover the base of your bottle. Only repeat row 3 if your bottle base is significantly bigger than the base since it will stretch.
Body
Strap
- Row 1:
- CH 2. 4 DC. CH 2. Turn your work.
- Row 2-end:
- Skip the first stitch and make 4 DC (make the last in the CH 2 from the previous row). CH 2. Turn your work. Repeat until strap is a good length. Test by adding bottle to the holder and holding up against your body. The strap will stretch quite a bit.
- CH 1, cut your yarn, and pull through.
- Make sure your bag is inside out (see seam created by BLO row). Insert hook 12 stitches from the edge of your strap, seam the strap to the other side of the body with a slip stitch.
- Weave in ends and you’re done!
